WHAT INTAKE

I currently have a cobra intake but don't like that it fall of at around 5300 RPM. I was thinking of getting a Professional products intake what do you all think?

I'm no 5.0 expert, but my cousin has a P/P intake on his 93 notch and it's junk. I'd go with trickflow upper and lower.

Get a PP intake and do some minor cleaning up on the upper and lower . Those intakes will make some power with a little work on them .

ive always had great success with edelbrock products. with those heads and cam, i'd look at performer rpm or performer rpmII's.

with those heads, holley systemax II

geat ready for it to be softer below 4k rpm though, that is where the cobra shines,

the holley is a monster on the top end, as is the erformer RM II

might want to step the cam up, always check for clearance

That P/P typhoon intake works jus fine.... in fact it's a copy of the performer intake jus cost less...used it before on my car and had no issues at all with it....

can always go with a breadbox intake and a little blower.
if not, than I like the choices with edlebrock.

with only 218 duration at .050 your upper rpm horsepower peak regardles of intake is going to be in the 5700 rpm range anyway .. so all of the above recomended intakes will actualy make less power under the curve

you need a intake that is meant for sub 6k rpm ..

Go with a performer a profesional products or a trick flow street heat

BBK SSI Intake works great for me. I also have AFR 165 heads and E-cam with long tubes and I still feel the car still keep pulling on higher RPMs. BBK intake flows better than a ported cobra intake.

so i guess they are alright, but i guess Psi has tried them on dynos and know what kind of numbers they really produce, when bbk proclaims something different. MY 2 cents

I think I am going to do a diff. cam. I am looking at the specs. on the stage 2 trick flow cam and think that would work good for my heads, but still need to decide on what intake to go with.
