what kind Intake do you guys have?

Im currently looking for a intake I have heard that the gt40,cobra are some of the best for the price. i heard the typhoon is good aswell bu since I have stock heads it will be better to go with gt40.

also what cam will be best to go with? tfs1 b or e cam once i get the intake

Sice the stock heads will be the bottleneck no matter what intake you have I would say stay with the stock one. Thats what i'm doing. I like lots of torque. Installing an aftermarket intake on what you have will kill the low end torque. But if your determined to get one I would say the Cobra/Explorer would be the best bang for the buck.

i'm running the power plus typhoon on my car......along with just about evey other bolt on you can thing of. my stock cast heads are built as well but i would like to get a set of aluminum ones some day. i have had no problems out of my intake and they seem to be pretty well priced too. my cam is a crane cam. i can get you the specs on it if you like.if you go into my garage on here there is a pic of my engine bay wtih the typhoon intake on it.

i would probably say unless you really getting down to the nitty gritty all the intakes with that 1500-6000 rpm range are going to flow and turn about the same numbers. unless your motor is just built to the gills and your trying to get that most optimum performance flow number.

as stated above me though, if i was to go with something other then whats on my car now it would be the cobra. seems to work well for good power numbers, affordable, and its made my ford lol. the poeple that made the car and motor. lol.

i run the tfs 1 cam in my silver car and "liked" it, i'm running the crane cam in this one and "love" it. and was always told to stay away from the alphabet cams....just me but i like to go wtih something else...i'm diferent i guess lol.

I'm running Edelbrock Performer, e-cam, and ported and polished gt40s. I wouldnt get a bigger cam and better intake without doing the heads, its pointless and a big waster of money and time.
