I use conventional 10W40 Valvoline oil.I rebuilt my engine at 155,000.It had one half thousandths of cylinder wear. You could still see the cross hatching.I do believe that synthetics are better especially if you go 10,000 miles between oil changes.if you change it every 3,000 or less though why spend more on a synthetic?Just my .02 cents!:jeff:

I use Mobil 1 5W 30 , Some manufacturers actually recomend mixing full synt. and conventional oil. And I buy it at Wal-Mart in the 5 quart jug it is a little cheaper. The only problem my 96 cobra holds 6 quarts not 5!

The five quart jug of mobil one used to be $18.xx at wally world, they raised the price recently to 22.xx:gil:
I think you can buy a sixer of it at costco for 25-26 bones.

I understand that and I know synthetics hold up a little better but even after i have run the car hard and made a bunch of passes I would change the oil either way if it was synthetic or conventional.Just MO not trying to be offensive!:jeff:
