 But aside from that, c/r would tell the tale here. When does it stop making power? At what rpm are you when the power curve goes down? What plugs do you have in there?

Maybe the cams are degreed wrong. I don't see how manifold pressure can be the same if you have a lower compression ratio and better flowing heads/exhaust.
Also, I would just stick with the stock intake, it makes good power.
