what supercharger is best!!!!!! 05 GT

I was wondering what you guys thought of which supercharger would be the best for most HP and total power threw the curve I guess price would be a factor too . I was about to purchase one and if you guys have any info on them let me know what you think!

I think it is going your answers are going to be based alot on personal preference.

I researched this same topic for over a year before I finally made my choice.

My thoughts are that they are all pretty good, it really depends on how you like to drive and what you want to do. KB/Whipple have great reviews for all around power, but also have there issues (belt alignment problems). Vortech/Paxton/ATI are all great kits and have great top end power. I personally have a vortech HO on my gt and love it. It drives pretty much stock at lower RPMs and pulls like a mofo when you hold it down

There is also the sound preference that comes in to play with FI choice, wistle or whine.

I'm sure Dean and some other will chime in with some good advice on the subject.

I love the way my Novi 2200 sounds and also pulls like a mofo. In my Opinion Here is the difference: The Whipple, KB, or Saleen Superchargers are awesome at low RPM, tremendous Torque, draw backs of these are that you will be under boost alot of the time, hence bad gas fuel mileage but I don't know how much worst than myself or jcsgt as we both have Centrifical superchargers. Centris don't create as much torque but are monsters on Top end power high RPM as this is where ours start boosting. Draw backs the fear of blowing engine because of heavy stress at high RPM.
I had that problem solved though set rev limiter at 6400 rpm. keep it safe.

its all personal preference

do you l;ike the feeling a big block naturaly aspirated motor.. go whipple or kb or saleen

do you like the feel of a high rpm high winding motor go centri.

any of the kits out there will put the car in the 12 flat to high 11 range at around 116-118 with proper tuning on a stock car.

I have a friend with a Saleen on her 05 and she loves it. Drives very good and has plenty of oomph when you nail it oh and the whine is sweet as well.

I like my Vortech, but have always wanted to try a twin screw! The fun part about the centri is that I don't have to use the power unless I want to! I can drive like Mrs. Dasiy and noone is the wiser, but when I nail the throttle or even give it a quick thump it's like driving a totally different animal. Great for the top end, especially with 3:55's....

On the other hand, the twin screw by nature will give you that neck snapping surge very quickly. Ultimately it's what you want your car to do and where you want to feel all of your new found power it in the RPM range........either way I think you will enjoy a blower!

how much horsepower you want ?

at 8-10 psi they are all prety even .. i have never seen a saleen blower have a belt issue at that boost range ..

the kb and whipples can have issues because the manifold can be slid forward and back a bit but if installed rigth they dont have a problem either

realy its the guys pushing 12+ psi that have belt issues.

I guess steeda would be the choice then . I would lke to run 10 psi on my stock motor . I guess I would need a clutch too ? what clutch do you guys think would be best . One that feels like a stocker but holds up to HP.
