Hello, I have an 07 Shelby GT. What is the plastic piece called that is connected to the bumper and mounts to the k member underneath the car. It's some sort of cover that is approximately 2ftx2ft. I broke it and have to get another but dont know the name of it.

sounds like it's just a splash shield to keep rain from getting into the engine compartment.

skid plate? I would always check when you get your oil changed that they put all of the bolts back in it, you'd be suprised how many times a car would pull in and there are always bolts missing. Or zip tied where bolts should be.
that piece actually directs air from the front air dam into the radiator... last i checked they were about $60, put one on a v6 car to direct more air into the condenser... only the v8 cars had them stock... and it only goes from the bumper to the radiator support.
Thanks for all the help. I found the part on partsgeek.com, it's a lower engine splash shield. It's cheap too, only 15$.
