Which Gauge Pod and Gauges?

What gauges are you guys going with. I am thinking about Fuel pressure, Boost gauge, and Air/ fuel Dyna Wide band. Maybe if someone can post pics to give me a good idea of which ones to go with. I have been looking at the lunar since they match the Roush Gauges and the illumination is perfect, but I only see narrow band gauges. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Another thing door pillar or dash board pillar?

in a boosted car i have a few guages that i always say are necessary... now i'm sure you have water temp and oil press. guages but on the oil pres. i suggest getting a good one.. not that stocker.. i wouldn't trust it.. if you do any of your own tuning, definately dish out for the wideband.. if nto, idk if you really need it.. unless it'll just give you peace of mind knowing you can keep an eye on it.. also, boost guage definately... and fuel pressure is a good one too.. so pretty much you got it right o the money.. but i say get a good oil pres. guage too

I went with the autometer dash pod, so far I have A/F, Boost, and I'm still working on the fuel pressure. No pics as nothing is installed yet, waiting to get all the gauges.

My budget doesn't allow for wideband right now, so narrow it is. The fuel pressure setup for the s197 was enought to clean my gauge budget out pretty well.

I'm using autometer phantoms, for some reason I really like how they look (and the price aint bad either).

I used to have nitrous but wasnt impressed with it. Learned after i took it off that with a zex kit u have to go one jet larger on the fuel jet. Lots of 4th gear plug melts lol. Im much happier with the whipple.

here is the link to Speed of Sound, Everything they use is top notch, they buy pillars from for and then plastic used on the pods matches the OEM Texture and Color Perfectly.

Exactly, just a light show basically.

I went with this wideband. Reasonably priced and works great. There are several options too.

You are viewing a DynoTune Product, 026-LC-1 Wideband Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge --Round Display - DynoTune, Nitrous systems, components and digital gauges..

the thing about wide bands is unless your doing your own tuning .. it doesnt do much.

except let you see if your going lean .. however i can not count how many vids i have seen online of people blowing up engines who werent looking at the wide band.

the thing is if you got it you better watch it religously or there is no point to having it.

Also the sensors go out often on the true wide bands.

For the S-197.. you can't do anything about fuel preassure. there is no regulater for you to turn it has to be adjusted in the tune.

It will also throw a limp home mode if it drops to much and you shouldnt have a problem with a properly tuned car geting hurt before that limp mode if activated should the preasure drop.. so the fuel pressure gauge realy is just for looks..

the boost guage realy just tells you if your belt needs to be replaced unless you have a turbo or some other form of boost that is variable.

in a 05 up .. a boost guage realy is the only gauge you need.

personaly i installed my boost and air fuel gauges in the dash between the center ac vents that panel can be replaced from ford easily should you ever want to remove it.

there is enough room for a single large 2 5/8 gauge or two 2 1/16 inch gauges there without a problem

The only reason i even put in a air fuel was because i do a lot of retuning on the track and im stretching things prety much farther then anyone with my 06 so i needed it to see where things ran out < injectors pumps stock rails etc >

I also think pods are gaudy and look stuck on. Plus they let everyone whos just driving bye know you got a blower to steal dam crooks.
