which spintechs?

long tubes, spintech off road x pipe... and spintech sells these cool flow tube/muffler kits... my only question is, which mufflers should i use? the spintech rep said use the sportsmans because the pro streets will be rather loud... but i kinda want it loud... so i'm torn.. price doesnt matter, the flow tube kit comes with my choice of muffler at the same price... also, should i use their x pipe? my headers have a 3" 3 bolt flange (i know, prolly cheapies, but i have them and there's no point in buying more for now) so i dont know if there's another company that sells them w/ the 3bolt flange

not on the Spintech topic - but related....I had an H-Pipe with factory shorties on my 5.0 cobra.

Swithed to BBK Longtubes with o/r Xpipe

Both setups had the borla dumps...the H Pipe was MUCH louder...the XPipe is more "tuned" sounding and is loud at WOT but is actually quieter than stock exhaust at idle.

Just thought I'd share my experience...I actually like the set up I have - cus I am hiding mods

pro streets are really really really loud.
I had them on with the stock h-pipe and it was too loud for me.
I now have sportsmans and a catted bassani x-pipe and jba headers.
i think my car sounds good and it is not obnoxious.

If you go O/R pipe with the pro streets, be prepared. I am talking insanely loud.
quite possibly, your eardrums will bleed and you will have an aneurysm.

haha i'm sure, but i'm struggling to finnish my motor swap because of all the bills i blew off in the last 2 years that i'm trying to pay off... plus, we just started a shop up here, so money's kinda tight.. so an s-trim is not coming any time soon... but seriously.. does anyone have any clips of long tubes, o/r x pipe and spintechs? i'm also thinking about runing them dumped..

i'll try to make one today when i go wash the car.
I went from o/r h pipe and sportsman catback to a catted x pipe and dumped sportsmans.
The o/r setup was louder, but i wanted something more legal and less obnoxious.

so my spintech history is:
stock mid pipe and prostreests
stock mid pipe and sportsmans
o/r h and sportsmans
catted x and dumped sportsmans.

people that like loud exhaust say the o/r h pipe and sportsmans sounded the best.
I prefer the latest combo.

from what i can tell, i like the x-pipe vids better, but no one is posting their full set up.. what kind of mods? what kind of headers etc etc... i'm trying to get the most acurate idea of wht the sound is like so i can decide.

I had LTs prochamber and sportsmans... quiet, smooth midrange and raspy at wot in the upper rpms

tonya ( bluestangchic) had the headers dr gas and pro streets on her HCI 5.0- loud and sick sounding. just nasty at idle

toni had the LTs dr gas and pro streets on his blown bullit. It was just sick..... loud

all cars had tail pipes

when i would dump my setup it became very very loud inside the car and mean outside at all rpms, especially in the lower revs

If you are going to dump it, run sportsmans so it is barable.
