who's in the know on Kenne Bell?

there are many questions in this thread.
here's the setup. 30# injectors, 7psi boost, 255lph aeromotive pump, boost-a-pump running, FMB not used. I'm getting p0172 & p0175 which are "rich" codes banks 1&2. these lights come on even in non-boost cond. is this due to too much fuel at idle? under boost I sometimes have detonation, so I always have to run a can of NOS or 104 in the tank. that sucks. too much timing? with this setup, what should the fuel pressure be at under boost? on the gauge with the vacuum line on I get just over 40# on the gauge. I tried disconnecting the vacumm line on the regulator but I get no difference in pressure. WTF? I want to dyno this thing and see where my a/f is but I don't know if the higher octane will throw off the #s. should I go back to 24# injectors? As you can see I'm clueless about this setup because Kenne Bell's tech doesn't have info for larger injectors and pumps. my questions are staggered I know but so is my idea of what's up with this setup. any info is much appreciated.

Who tuned it? What's the compression ratio on the motor?

40 PSI is what your fuel pressure needs to be... you start getting on the edge if it drops below 30 at WOT.

murillo tune. stock cobra compression. I think 9.85:1 I found out why I have detenation at WOT. I was running on the high octane setting on the sct. switched back to pump gas tune. on the pump gas tune every once in a while I'll have detonation at tip in.

the rich codes could be as simple as 02's.

what's your maf readings, idle, cruise, and wot?
could also be a dirty or contamintaed maf as well.

some specific datastream will help....

02 voltages
maf voltage
injector durations
just to name a few

well the 02s are new. I say that the car had 6kmi put on it in 3yrs. supercharger, tune, 87mm maf, and 02s, installed 5kmi and 2-3 yrs ago. I was told by the previous owner that the light came on immediately after the tune. That's something else I was wondering, if it sets off an MIL, will it affect the SCT tune by going into a "safe or limp" mode? I was told that it might be the 02s as well but with so few miles and the light coming on immediately, still think so? I don't have the current maf tables. I have them before the blower install, but don't have the current ones.

you will need to get current readings to get a better understanding of what is going on electrically.
what kind of 02's are they, do you know?

I know Len personally, very good guy and knowledgable too.
Bosch is not my firsty choice in 02 sensors... un-reliable and sometimes inaccurate.
I like Denso or Ford (Denso used by Ford anyway), but they do use some Bosch too..

Locally, you will get either Bosch or some other brand, but Bosch being the more popular...

Denso O2 sensor, Denso Oxygen sensor, wideband O2 sensor.

NGK are good too (another OEM type)

I know your problem now....

You have a valve that is rattling in the head. Only known fix is to r&i the head with a valve job and new valve guides. Ford has a TSB, but it's a secret. I have the link at home and I will forward it to you, just remind me later...

I know this is not the news you wanted to hear, but it is in fact your problem with that Cobra.

you know that really sucks that Northside didn't catch that issue. He had an extended service plan too. they didn't want to mess with the warranty company. well I wanted it done anyway. shoot it to me when you can. I'll remind you later. thanks for the research.
