Mac Catback + Catted Mac X pipe
Will it bolt up to a 02 v6?

no, for the pre 05 v6's you have to get exhaust specifically for them. it sucks, i know.

the mid pipe wont work but the catback will. an exhaust shop can make the mid pipe work though. I had gt pipes on my v6

true, sorry i was just thinking about the midpipe, the catback will work but you will need a gt bumper for it to fit unless you adjust the hangers

i took it to an exhaust shop and ask them to put it on. came back a couple hours later and picked it up. lol not trying to sound like a smart ass but thats all i did. I went to rodriquez tire and muffler on potranco and 1604.

yeah just go by a muffler shop and ask them. i had it all welded in. im not sure if it will "bolt" right up. remember mine was a gt take off not a mac

Hmmmm... the shops I go to, might not have ever even heard of Mac, so cant just ask them. I just want to know if it can be done, if it can, these guys can do it.

ya they will probably have to adjust how wide the pipes are from each other (im pretty sure thats the problem of why they wont bolt up-- the headers on the 6 and 8 are different distances from each other at the collectors) but a little bit of custom work can make it fit

with custom work anything can be made to fit anything :P

regardless of the brand, its still gonna go together like a gt takoff, everything is still the same length, its just the header/midpipe connection that needs the special attention. and exhaust hangers

sounds right greg. The stock mid pipe and aftermarket pipes have to be the same size since they are a direct replacement. try calling a performance/muffler shop even if your not going to have it done and ask them.
