Window Tinting

Is it cheaper to have the windows tinted if shops dont have to remove old tint?
Also, anyone recommend any certain type of tint to go with and a shop to go with? Preferably in Ne S.A.

Wilsons. Off of Wurzbach Parkway/ area oconnor? Some one can post his exact details.

Yes he chargers a lil more to strip tint so if you can strip it and get it clean you can save some $$. Not worth all the work to me though.

performance tint, we had that on YTford and its on Ty.

well i had mine done around the Forth of July holiday at unique and it was $89.99 for high performance 5% tint. They also have standard for 79.99 i think. I havent had any problems and it has a lifetime warranty. here is the link to the pics i posted.

Hmm I may have to drive to SA to get tint. The local shop here wants $190 to do it, even if I take off the old.

Thats a pretty descent price, but one of the shops told me,one of the times that i was going to get my car tinted, was that if they had found out that my car was tinted in the past, and i removed it myself, that they were'nt going to warranty it for bubbling if the windows were'nt cleaned right.I was told that if the windows were'nt cleaned right, that over time with the heat, and the old glue that was still stuck on the glass, would cause the new tint not to stick well, and it can start to bubble, ond get very ugly.......

The average price i was getting quoted was around $150 for a mustang with a 5 yr warranty. I just kept shopping around, and one of my firends told me about unique. it was down the street from my house so i went by there and they did it for around 90 bux with tax. A warranty is a must.

Where is this UNIQUE place located? I would rather not remove the old tint and have them tell me I shouldnt have or some bs like that. Like John#21 says, its just not worth all the work to him. I would rather pay a little extra to have it taken off.

Yea, I have heard about that. Thanks for the heads up. Also with the curvature of the windows, the razor must go top to bottom, not side to side. I am going to see if I can find this place Agent Jones is talking about.

Ok, I just got off the phone with Unique and the said that they for $140 they would tint the windows and for an extra $50 they would remove the old tint. So close to $200, I think to get it all done is pretty good.
Everywhere else I have called was easily at 250-300.
