I have a decent paying job. I USE to like working here. Now I can't stand to be here at all. My wife just quit her job for almost the same BS last week and I wish I could do the same. Im going to put some job applications in and see what happens. I just need the money to be comparable to what im making now.

Too much favoritism and breaks for "buddy's" just really kills it for me. I think what is most upsetting is that I have been with this company for 6 years now, 2 outside in the shop and the past 4 inside running the office, and this other office girl has been here 2 years now. She gets paid more than I do? I mean seriously, WTF? Is it because she is older than me? It can't be that she has more experiance than me. Or is it because my boss is a male and likes her? I do more work, have more responsibilities and know more than her. I guess since I don't have some small tits and a wide ass and kiss ass I should get paid less? Fuck this job.

Since I have found that out, I have been doing as little as possible. Im really ready to quit now, unfortuneatly too many bills and having a kid to feed will not allow that. I really hope i can stick it out with the FD this year so I can leave this place.

Been there done that....had to GTFO as soon as I could. Not really a problem where I am now we only have 3 peeps in the office now..........

I work in an office doing order entry, purchasing, receiving, returns, sales....

Every now and again, Ill give a hand out in the warehouse helping shipping or the paint dept.

Thats how it kind of works. Same thing with my wife.

Her and some girl got hired at the same place at the same time..... 2 years later, the other girl is some what like a manger now and knows nothin about what they do (she gets paid salary now). The reason why this girl got to be a so called "manager" is because the girl kisses ass to the boss. Guess thats how it works (wife is a dental assistant)

I love what I do - I despise where I am doing it. But I still wake up every day happy to go to work, until I walk IN and realize that its the same ol' same ol'... Luckily, our department got "married" to another department a little while back, so there is hope that we'll get our shit worked out. If not - I was lookin' for a job when I found this one...

good luck with new employment, with the economy in the shape it is we have to put up with a little more than we prefer to. Stay positive and confident in your abilities and you will be rewarded. After 27 yrs in the same profession, you do what you know is right and those that try to drag yiou down will get there's in the end

Be thankful for what you have. If your not prepared for the consequences
of a deliberate work slowdown, you should rethink your strategy.

My wife has a cheesy part time job and earns more than others in the same classification because she had a college degree. She didnt even know that until they were talking hourly wages and a girl threw a fit.
She then found out that if she went and got a degree they would pay her the WHOPPING 50 cents more per hour. She then felt pretty foolish.

Im not saying you arnt adequately compensated but you should research or at least inquire before putting your job at risk.

Also if you hate it you should start looking elsewhere anyways.

but again...I have friends who cant find a job right now...so be thankful for what you have.
