i have 800 in my tranny (that includes the swap from auto and a 4 cyl trans the first time around that i blew up and bought a v8 t5...) i saw a rear end for 125 in san antonio today... and you can buy a block for 50 bucks... build the motor... buy a harness etc etc probably about a grand.. that's for a stock rebuild roughly. you'll need fuel lines and all the wiring. fuel pump is the same as long as it started as an FI car. you'll want to convert the brakes too, but that can be done while doing a 5 lug swap which you will likely want, or get don's set up.. really, you're looking for 2k for a complete conversion.. but a 91-92 4 cyl would be your best bet for that as the engine harnesses are fairly easy to find.

I just wanted to let ALL of yall haters on here who said i would not find a car for what i wanted.......
i just got a 1985 mustang GT 5.0. its a 4eyed..w/e i can dig it, maybe don will help me pimp it out haha. rebuilt motor and tranny, new paint carbed 5.0... 1300 bux!!! all it needs is a couple interior things, and i KNOW who im buying it from. Lock it up modz!! |
