So you are looking for a V8 car then ? If you buy a 4 banger car , you will need to find a V8 harness the same year as your car . Example :

87-88-89 = 89 V8 harness
90 = 90 V8 harness
91/early 92 = 91/early 92 V8 harness
late 92/93 = late92/93 V8 harness

hell the car I have already has an 8.8 in it ........

I'm swapping from my 92 LX V8, did not think the wire harness interchangeable between 87-88 to 89-93

If you plan on using the wire efi harness you will need to find a car with the same dash plug (single red) and the same location for the fuel pump relay (either under the seat or on the fender well) . If your car has it under the seat , you need a 91/early 92 car . If its not , you need a late 92/93 car .

The only othe way around it is to swap out the entire dash harness with dash and steering column . If you do that you can use any year car for the swap .
