We got a high compression 408W being put together right now and we might end up selling it to go with a Dart block engine .

Its a 69-70 block filled with hard block
SCAT forged crankshaft
SCAT 6.200 H beam rods
JE pistons
all balanced and machine work done at Kotzurs here in San Antonio

$2650 cash money ........

We need to either use it or sell it as a complete short block .

Here is some more stuff it comes with :

Romac balancer
Canton main girdle
ARP main studs
new cam bearings
freeze plugs
new rings
clevite bearings

It will assembled and ready to install your cam and heads .

Its almost exactly like my engine other than its a little higher compression since its got a slight dome on the pistons and mine has flat tops . With the right cam , heads and intake , its an easy low 10 or high 9's engine all motor ............

I don't have any pics of it right now because the block is being finished and will get assembled this weekend . It has some JE forged pistons for a non TFS twisted wedge head in it . They have a small dome with big valve reliefs to clear large cams like yours . Its balanced and will be blue printed upon assembly as well .

You will need the following things to complete it :
oil pump and pick up (go with a basic Melling M68)
oil pump drive shaft rod (go with the FMS shaft)
timing chain set (Cloyes double roller or SA Gear double roller)
your cam and lifters
timing chain cover (stock one)
oil pan (Canton double sump or something like it)
cylinder heads (your choice of any inline head - will not work with TFS twisted wedge)
push rods (Comp cam .080 wall - won't know lenght until its setup)
valve covers (what ever you want)
intake manifold (Vic Jr or Super Vic)

Twisted Wedge design cylinder heads require a special piston with valve reliefs for the twisted valve locations . Most flat top pistons can work with some fly cutting unless they have dual reliefs in them . With a domed piston , its one or the other . These pistons are expensive from JE and were built for an inline head .
