What is the difference between a $179 pypes xpipe and a $475 magnaflow?

Sound the same roughly? Materials? longevity?

there was a long running debate on TMS about actual, not perceived gains from aftermarket x or h pipes and I dont think anyone was able to post anything noteworthy, other than those who had a power adder.

most folks swap em out for sound preference. after going through an aftermarket X and H, I finally just had a muffler shop fab me up a cheapie and sold the other two. I noticed no difference in performance

others may disagree, but I truly beleive the OEM setup flowed pretty well...

I love my SLP and it has cats installed but it is modular so if I want to install race pipes its about a 15min job. It was a400+ dollar pipe but worth it IMO.
Quality is top notch and fit is excellent.
Don't buy the cheap stuff Dan you get what ya pay for

I have the stainless mac X pipe and have had 3 different exhaust, and the X on-off at least 10 times, I just couldn't get a good sound out of it on my car. I finnally gave up and have had it sitting in the corner for almost a year now.
